This model can be mounted on all wheel positions, including the steering and trailer axles.

The Atlas Tire AW09 is a highway terrain all season tire manufactured for commercial vehicles. The tread design and tire compound ensure exceptional all weather traction. The ribbed symmetric tread design and the all weather tire compound firmly grip the road surface in dry, wet and winter weather.

The compound maintains its optimal flexibility even in colder temperatures, guaranteeing first-rate year round safety. The wide circumferential grooves effectively boost the wet weather traction and the hydroplaning resistance by channeling water and slush away from the tire's footprint. In this manner, the driving security is significantly boosted. The longer lasting tread life and tire usability is the result of the special tread design.

The symmetric ribbed design manages to equally distribute the driving pressure across the tread area. The evenly circulated forces of acceleration, cornering and braking actively resists irregular tread wear formations along the tire's surface. The prevention of uneven wear extends the tread life and the tire's usability significantly and ensures the durability of its tread design.

The AW09's internal construction features a 12 to 18 ply structure, depending on the specific tire size. They prevent the tire from deforming under the driving pressure by boosting the tire's durability. Manufacturers recommend changing tires every 10 years.
