The flat footprint of the symmetric ribbed pattern increases the tire's grip on the road surface. The tread's ribbed pattern and siping detail enhance the number of biting edges gripping the dry, wet and winter weather road surface throughout the model's performance. The zigzag groove pattern channels water and slush away from the tire's footprint, avoiding hydroplaning and boosting the dry and wet weather wperformance.

The tread design enhances the controllability in various conditions. The tread's symmetric pattern and flat footprint ensure a constant surface contact. This enables the tire to increase the steering responsiveness and the driving stability. In this manner, the steering becomes faster and more precise in its response to the driver's commands, while the structure is secured against the driving pressure affecting the model. This guarantees the driver's full control over the vehicle throughout the drive.

The LLA78 provides a damage free performance. The zigzag circumferential groove pattern eliminates mud and snow and ejects rocks stuck between the tread elements. This prevents mud and snow from packing into the grooves and cutting off the tire's surface contact.
