This is a bias ply tire. Due to the tire's internal construction and size, it is possible that the tire will look deformed. This tire has a BIASED ply structure.

The OTR Chevron is an all season tire manufactured for lawn mowers. The reinforced construction and durable compound improve the tire's strength. The tire features a four-ply internal structure that maintains the tire's optimal shape under the driving and load pressure affecting it. This prevents the tire shape's deformation and ensures a secure performing capability. The durable compound and tread area promote an optimal terrain contact to improve the tire's overall all weather controllability.

The tire is easily controlled. The non-directional chevron tread block placement improves the tire's terrain contact. Its constant contact with the terrain surface improves the steering responsiveness and driving stability. In this manner, the tire is faster and more precise in its response to the driver's steering instructions, while its structure is stable and secure against the driving pressure affecting the model.

This enhancement ensures a safer year round controllability, allowing the driver to confidently handle the vehicle. The Chevron provides a longer lasting tread life. The durable tire compound is wear-resistant, which significantly slows the tread wear rate down. The stabilized chevron tread block design enables even pressure distribution. In other words, the optimal footprint equally spreads out the driving forces to prevent uneven tread wear formations.

The slower even tread wear guarantees a lengthened tread life and usability. Smaller bias ply tires do not have reinforced constructions that can keep the tire from deforming.

The bias construction and the small tire's non-reinforced internal structure allow the tire to fold in when it is deflated or not properly inflated. This is not constructional damage or an issue; it is a normal occurrence with such tires. In such cases, the tire needs to be mounted and inflated to the proper PSI or, in some instances, an inner tube needs to be added. The proper PSI and the inner tube are able to maintain the tire's ideal shape, preventing the bias plies from looking deformed.

This ensures their performing safety and durability. This specific tire model features a BIASED ply construction. Manufacturers recommend changing tires every 10 years.
